Wingstop – Hot Buffalo Wings

Wingstop Hot Buffalo

Wingstop has become a virtual staple in the American chicken wing market due to its wide array of flavors and vast number of locations. Given all the available flavors I decided to start with just the basics. I got an order of hot buffalo wings and was not disappointed.

I generally write off chain restaurants as being substandard in terms of food but Wingstop surprised me. The size of the wings they served were large and had a lot of meat on them and the crisp the wings got from the frier was quite good. Also, the cost is very cheap, around $1.00, which seems like a good deal for the amount of meat you get on one wing.

The flavor however was mediocre as the buffalo sauce wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. There was the necessary tang but the sauce tasted artificial or chemical in nature. There was a touch of spice but not enough for these wings to be labeled as “hot”. Overall, these wings were above average in all categories except for taste where they fell a bit short.
