Wingstop – Mild Buffalo Wings

Wingstop Mild Buffalo

Wingstop has become a virtual staple in the American chicken wing market due to its wide array of flavors and vast number of locations. Given all the available flavors I decided to start with just the basics. I began with the mild buffalo wings and then moved to their hot wings.

Flavor wise, I mainly tasted plain chicken as there was very little sauce onto of the mild buffalo wings. The chicken however was a cut above other mass market wing spots and tasted great. The sauce itself didn’t have much flavor to it and did not have that tang that a traditional buffalo sauce has. For a mild wing, these might have been alright but the lack of even non-spicy buffalo flavor dragged the wing down.

Size wise, these wings were good but not great. Each wing had a large amount of meat and were cooked to perfection. The exterior was crisp (though this may have been due to the lack of any real sauce). The wings only cost for just over $1.00 which is a great price point in comparison to competitors like Buffalo Wild Wings. The Mild Buffalo wing is exactly what is described, mild and boring in the flavor department but strong in other categories like size and cost.
