Doore Chicken Korean Wings
Doore Chicken is located within a large Korean indoor mall. It is one of many of different food stalls that you can purchase your lunch from at an affordable price. Their wings are the largest I’ve ever seen by far. Each one almost feels like a turkey leg at some medieval faire, but inspired by Korean Chicken.
The flavor of these wings is, bizarre. While Doore describe the flavor as Garlic Soy the wing tastes like a churro with a lot of sweet cinnamon flavor. Now, I think I read somewhere that this type of cinnamon flavor profile might be an actual thing in South Korea. I haven’t had any other Korean wings like this one. I am not fully sure but to this American’s tastebuds it is quite off putting to have such a candied meat.
With that said, the texture is good and they are well cooked. The wings are slightly crispy which makes the whole wing feel like eating a Cinnamon Toast Crunch covered wing. As for price point, these are some of the best value for the price. A $1.50 will get you the largest wing in the world and what feels like enough meat to feed a family. Overall, truly scary taste on a gargantuan wing.
