CM Chicken – Amazing Snow Onion Wings

CM Chicken Snow Onion Chicken Wings

CM Chicken Snow Wings

Some of the best Korean chicken wings are found at CM Chicken. Choong Man Chicken (CM for short) is a chain of fried chicken places out of Korea. They have more than 200 restaurants in South Korea and are constantly growing. They have been serving delicious, ultra crispy chicken since 2009 and boy have they spread around. It’s easy to see what all the hype is about when you take your first bite of their signature Snow Chicken.

CM marinates their chicken for 24 hours ahead of preparation to give it its tender and delicious nature. The Snow sauce is a sweet mayo based sauce that cuts right through the savory fried chicken. They are paired with lightly blanched raw onions giving them perfect blend of fatty, sweet, and slightly biting tang. The wings are medium to large size and each are masterfully fried. The wings maintain a great crunch even after saucing (snow sauce and onions come on the side) which pushes these wings to another level.

I don’t know where they source their chicken from but it’s one of the best tasting pieces of chicken in Chicago. If all of this doesn’t sound appealing enough wait until you see the price. $1.20 per wing for their 10 piece and cheaper for a 20 piece! In this day and age of high wing prices this seems like the ultimate deal. Especially when considering that each order comes with a side of pickled daikon, an acquired taste but, once acquired, definitely delicious. Overall CM Chicken’s Snow Sauce wings are truly to die for.
