Bluestone – Great Fried Buffalo Wings

Bluestone is a excellent example of a traditional American bar/restaurant. Its sports themed walls and long list of beers make it a destination to watch Gameday. While Bluestone has a full menu one of their best items are their chicken wings. They have the option of being cooked with two methods, smoked or fried. The fried are much better in my opinion as I miss the crunch in the smoked wings.

Overall, their chicken great tasting and are quite large in size. Getting the wings fried means that you will be sacrificing some consistency in batches as some can come out overdone and therefore dry. Their Buffalo sauce is definitely their strongest flavor. It has a tangy pungent buffalo flavor that is delicious. While less creamy than other buffalo sauces I do not mind as it has a powerful flavor.

What makes these wings very attractive is their price point. For $1.30 per massive wing you can eat your fill and stay on budget. Another bonus for the price is that you can request both ranch and blue cheese dressing and celery on the side for free. Their chunky blue cheese is excellent. These are top notch buffalo wings that are perfect to start the meal with or have by oneself.
