K-COOP Spicy Rookie Wings
K-COOP is a great Korean fried chicken spot in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. Now, I must say that I got take out from K-COOP, and I did not try these wings fresh. The spicy rookie wings were the lowest heat level that K-COOP offers for their “spicy” flavor wings.
The wings were overly sauced and as a result lacked any crispness. The sauce itself was too sweet, but its flavor profile was interesting. It had notes of cinnamon and had an interesting Korean BBQ taste. The wings themselves are moderately sized and perfectly cooked. At around $1.50 a wing I would have liked to have a bit more meat on the wings. All in all, I would recommend the spicier versions of these wings due to the overly sweet flavor.
