K-COOP Soy Spicy Wings

K-COOP is a great Korean fried chicken spot in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. Now, I must say that I got take out from K-COOP, and I did not try these wings fresh. With that said, these wings stayed perfectly crunchy with an expertly seasoned batter. This style of wing comes with heaping amounts of dressed green onion slaw on top. It perfectly balanced the fatty crunch of the soy spicy wings. The flavor profile was a bit perfume but tasted fantastic over all. There was little in the way of spice, but the rich soy flavor made up for it. The wings themselves had a great cook, and the meat retained a juicy quality. At $1.60 per wing they are a bit small, but when factoring in the large portion of green onion slaw the price point becomes a bit more manageable.

I would recommend these wings for anyone who enjoys a sweet Korean flavor profile. Although I was skeptical at first, I have become a convert to pairing wings with green onions or other toppings.
