BB.q Chicken Cheesling Powder
BB.q Chicken is a gigantic chain of Korean fried chicken restaurants out of South Korea. With thousands of restaurants across the world this chain is posed to become one of the worlds largest chicken spots. BB.q does not stand for barbecue like I assumed. Instead it stands for Best of the Best Quality.
An interesting combination, powered cheese and chicken wings. However, it works perfectly. The cheese isn’t your average powered cheese as the cheese has a sweet flavor profile. The powder gives the crispy wing an almost fried Twinkie flavor. It is so bizarre that I enjoyed it. The chicken is ultra crispy and perfectly cooked. I think that it is one of the best pieces of plain chicken that I have had.
The batter to meat ratio is a bit off as the wings are a bit small. You get a lot of fried exterior, which is a bit greasy, and a decent amount of wing. An order of ten wings costs around $14, so a bit high for the size of the wings. With that said, you are paying for the unique flavor of the Cheesling wing and the superb crunch.
