Good To Go Jerk Platter
Jerk wings galore are found at Good To Go, a Jamaican cuisine restaurant with two locations in the Chicago area. Their wings are above average size with a solid amount of meat on them. I tried a jerk platter which came in three different flavors: Spicy, Jerk, and BBQ.
The jerk wings (pictured at the bottom of the photo) were are grilled and have a nice wood smoke flavor. Now, because of the fact that the wings are grilled, they don’t have a crispy exterior but it is tough to dock a restaurant for their preparation choice. The jerk wings were cooked to perfection and were very moist. They’re less powerful than others I have tried but they give you a side of thick jerk sauce to add more flavor. Without the additional sauce you taste a nice heavy presence of charcoal that is really delicious.
Their price point is above average for the amount of wing you get ($1.50 per medium sized wing) but are still worth it. These are a perfectly cooked, moist wing that has a delicious smoke flavor without needing the additional jerk sauce.
